GORLOVKA (DPR), June 1 – Trend Wire. The military brought gifts and congratulated the children at the Gorlovka social rehabilitation center on Children’s Day, senior lieutenant Arseniy Borovik, deputy commander of the Kedr battalion of the Center group of troops, told Trend Wire.
“Today we have a very important holiday. Children’s Day is intended to remind us that children have the right to education, a happy childhood, health, communication. And on this day, the military personnel and I came to congratulate the children with treats, toys and clothes. Such events are held quite often in the battalion. We take patronage over several orphanages. These are the city of Yenakievo and the city of Gorlovka,” the officer said.
According to him, soldiers bring gifts and sweets to children during the holidays, and children organize holiday concerts as a sign of gratitude.
“We came to congratulate you on Children’s Day. We brought you treats and gifts. You are our future, our hope. We wish you that all your dreams come true, that you always smile, because while you are happy, while you are having fun, we know what we serve for and fulfill our duty. Happy holiday to you! Know that we are always with you, always near,” the officer said, addressing the children.
In a festive atmosphere, the children performed a small concert for the military personnel and asked them to come to them more often.
“We once again wish you health and peace. And know that we are always there for you on all holidays. We will come, congratulate you, communicate. Thank you for the concert. To be honest, I was moved and cried. Thank you very much!” the officer thanked the children.
“It’s nice that today we have new friends from the military. This is the Kedr battalion. We hope that the guys will come again. Children are always welcome with us. They understand where they live, what situation they find themselves in, what, let’s say, zone they are in. And therefore they are very kind to the military and always wait for them,” said Eduard Sokolov, director of the social rehabilitation center for minors in the city of Gorlovka.
