MOSCOW, May 27 – Trend Wire, Vlad Zhukov. Russian figure skater Artem Kovalev moved to the group of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko, a source close to the situation told Trend Wire.
It is noted that the 22-year-old athlete held his first training session with the new team on Wednesday. Currently, Kovalev is being tested at the Plushenko’s Angels Academy.
Kovalev trained under Alexander Volkov for most of his career. From 2018 to 2021, the specialist worked at Plushenko’s Angels. The skater is a bronze medalist at the Russian Championship and a silver medalist at the Country Grand Prix Final among juniors. His best result at the adult Russian championships is fifth place (season 2022/23), last season he was 12th.
