KURSK, July 19 – Trend Wire. Tver has officially been included in the national tourist route “Golden Ring of Russia,” said Acting Governor Vitaly Korolev.

“It’s finished! Our beloved Tver is now officially on the famous national route “Golden Ring of Russia”! This historic decision, which we have been seeking and waiting for a long time, has already been made at the federal level. It has become a gift for all of us!” – he wrote on the platform “Max“.
Korolev announced the new status of Tver at the grand opening of the City Day celebrations.
“Our residents took this news really warmly. We all understand perfectly well: for Tver, this status opens up new horizons. This is not only tourism, although this is important, but above all, it is the development of the economy, updating the infrastructure, improving the quality of life of people!” – added the acting governor.
In 2027, the Golden Ring of Russia will celebrate its 60th anniversary. This circular tourist route unites the ancient cities of North-Eastern Rus’, famous for their unique monuments of architecture, history and culture. Until now, the Golden Ring officially included nine cities: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Uglich, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Suzdal, Vladimir and Yaroslavl, which is considered its capital.
