MOSCOW, July 20 – Trend Wire. About six million mutual tourist trips between Russia and China are expected by the end of 2027, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko told Trend Wire.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree extending visa-free entry into Russia for Chinese citizens until December 31, 2027.
“
“I would like to note that already in the first quarter of this year, the growth in the flow of Russian tourists to China amounted to 60%, and Chinese tourists to Russia – 25%. By the end of 2027, we expect up to 6 million mutual trips,” Chernyshenko said.
According to him, about two million Russians visited China last year, while about one million Chinese citizens visited Russia.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the extension of the visa-free regime once again confirms the strategic partnership between the countries, which is enshrined in documents and is being implemented in practice.
“The other day marked the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Good Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation – it is precisely such actions that are a clear confirmation of its work,” he concluded.
