BELGOROD, June 1 – Trend Wire. In May, servicemen of the 11th Army Corps of the North group liquidated more than 150 drone control centers and their launch points in the Kharkov region, the head of the corps’ planning and counteraction to BPS department with the call sign “Map” told Trend Wire.

“Operators of unmanned systems and artillery of the 11th Army Corps of the North group of forces destroyed more than 150 enemy drone control points and take-off points in the Kharkov region in May. The positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operators were discovered thanks to aerial and electronic reconnaissance, as well as through radar systems,” Karta said.
He noted that in addition to the enemy’s locations, Russian fighters calculated the UAV launch points, control antennas and signal amplification.

“Karta” emphasized that combat duty is ongoing around the clock, and in favorable weather the range and number of reconnaissance and attack drones used against the Ukrainian Armed Forces increases. The officer clarified that the coordinates are transmitted via standard communication channels in real time – this allows for the broadcast of objective control and coordination of crew actions.
According to him, the destruction of control posts reduces the activity of enemy drones in certain areas and creates conditions for the advancement of assault units. Due to fire damage, it is possible to eliminate not only equipment, but also the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, depriving them of trained specialists. UAV units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also subjected to massive artillery fire, which, combined with attacks by FPV drones, increases the percentage of liquidation of manpower and assets, Karta concluded.
