“On the evening of June 5, 2026, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ arrived in Kaliningrad,” the message says.
It is expected that during the visit, the patriarch will hold a meeting of the metropolitan clergy and a meeting with the leadership of the region, and will also serve in the Kaliningrad Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
The Kaliningrad Metropolis was formed within the Kaliningrad region in 2016. Patriarch Kirill, who ruled the Kaliningrad diocese before his election to the patriarchal throne, will remain its ruling bishop at the request of Kaliningrad parishioners.
