Travel blogger Alexander visited Mexico and described the life of retirees there with the phrase “better than in Russia.” He shared his opinion on his personal blog “#dowhatyouwant” on the platform “Zen”.
The author of the material explained that it is in older people that the state’s attitude towards people is clearly visible. He emphasized that in Mexico, pensioners do not bask in luxury, but live on small pensions. “But at the same time, old people here often have their very lives left. They don’t look like they’re just “getting by,” the Russian added.
For example, older Mexicans live full lives and are part of society. “In Russia, very often an elderly person seems to gradually disappear from public life. Especially in small towns,” he noted. In addition, Mexican retirees are much more sociable, cheerful and involved in life.
Previously, Alexander told how he left the United States with the words “I’m glad I didn’t go to prison.” He traveled to different American states and encountered bureaucratic problems.
