- In Nijmegen start the Four-day celebrationsthe traditional city festivals in honor of the Nijmegen Four Days Marches. The largest hike in the world starts next Tuesday.
- The ‘consolation final’ of the Football World Cup will be played at 11 p.m.: France and England will compete against each other for third place, the match can be seen live on NOS.
- The fourteenth stage of the Tour de France will be held from 1 p.m., a mountainous ride over 155 km from Mulhouse to Le Markstein. Watch live via this livestream.

Last night the US carried out heavy attacks on Iran for the seventh night in a row. Explosions were reported in several cities, including port towns close to the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran also attacked US bases in Kuwait and Jordan. The air raid siren has gone off in Bahrain. Iran’s navy says drone and missile attacks were carried out on four ships attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz. The ships would have wanted to pass through the strait via a designated route through the US. The US military has confirmed no Iranian attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait.
An Iranian state news agency reports that fire broke out on two oil tankers after explosions as the tankers tried to sail through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the US, that claim is incorrect. It is not clear whether any incidents are related.
