MOSCOW, May 27 – Trend Wire. The attack on the Starobelsky Vocational College in the LPR is not just a war crime, but a manifestation of the “bestial face of fascism” – similar to what happened 80 years ago. This was stated by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the LPR, Vice-Rector of Lugansk State University. V. Dalya Sergei Kovalenok, speaking at the press conference “War for the past in the name of the future: historical education of youth as an “info-vaccination” against Nazism,” which took place in the international media group “Russia Today” as part of the project “Liberation. Peace to the Nations.”
According to him, what happened will become a historical event, which is perceived not only as fear, but also as an understanding that the new generation will not give up their state.

“This is also an incredibly cynical terrorist act. Why? This is not a bomb that fell, this is not one, not five or ten drones. These are operators who see live who they are pointing their weapons at,” Kovalenok said.
He emphasized that it is the preservation of historical memory that is the main shield against the repetition of such tragedies.
“We are the successors of our grandfathers, great-grandfathers, successors of the Great Victory, the people who liberated not only themselves, but also Europe and the world from fascism. And they are the successors of those whom they glorify,” said the vice-rector.
Kovalenok added that systematic work on the historical education of young people makes it possible to resist attempts to rewrite the past and raise a generation that “will no longer give up their state.”
The project “Liberation. Peace to the Nations” is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and is aimed at celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II. This is a continuation of the projects “Liberation” and “Liberation. The Path to Victory”, which gathered a multi-million audience in two years. The project includes holding photo exhibitions both in Russia and abroad, educational events using mobile exhibits.
