MOSCOW, June 2 – Trend Wire. CSKA Moscow captain Igor Akinfeev signed a new contract with the football club, reports the Telegram channel “red-blue”.
Akinfeev’s new contract is for one season.
Akinfeev is 40 years old; he has been playing for the main team of CSKA since 2003. Akinfeev is the winner of the UEFA Cup, bronze medalist of the European Championship, six-time champion of Russia, eight-time winner of the Russian Cup and eight-time winner of the country’s Super Cup. Last season, the goalkeeper played 21 matches for CSKA, missed 23 goals and kept four clean sheets.
