MOSCOW, May 29 – Trend Wire. Madrid football club Atlético has offered Barcelona a package of sunflower seeds, a newspaper subscription and four concert tickets in exchange for striker Lamin Yamal amid rumors of a transfer for Argentine forward Julián Alvarez.
Previously, the media reported that Barcelona had agreed on personal terms of the contract with Alvarez. It was noted that the Madrid club is ready to release the forward for 150 million euros.
“
“We have sent Barcelona a fax with our transfer offer: four tickets to tomorrow’s Bad Bunny concert, a year’s subscription to the ABC newspaper and a bag of seeds. We are looking forward to receiving a response so we can prepare an announcement,” the club said in a statement on social media X.
The Madrid club also offered six concert tickets in exchange for Blaugrana midfielder Pedri and fictional players Tom Ford and Smith for a one-year loan for Brazilian winger Raphinha.
Atlético also later issued a statement: “In recent months we have been faced with a campaign to discredit one of our players. Targeted leaks of information, fake news, constant disrespect, the Catalan version of the propaganda machine making up stories, calls before head-to-head confrontations. But of course we would never dream of keeping a vice-president of the refereeing committee on the salary or resorting to political connections to register players.”
Alvarez is 26 years old and has been with Atlético Madrid since August 2024. Previously, he played for the English Manchester City, with whom he became a two-time champion of England, winner of the FA Cup, the country’s Super Cup, winner of the Champions League, and also winner of the UEFA Super Cup. The forward also has 51 matches and 14 goals in the Argentina national team, he won the America’s Cup twice and the World Cup once.
